Under one brand with a single editor-in-chief, we are a network of national journalists across 19 counties helping 200,000+ affluent, hard-to-reach readers make the right decisions on everything from cosy pubs and romantic getaways to the best schools for their children.
Our National School Reviews are massively influential amongst our readers, because we offer something unique.
1. We’re readable
The antidote to fusty, dry advertorial, our reviews are honest, independent, informal and witty – like your best friend giving advice. Our subscribers trust our judgement and act on our recommendations.
2. Our reader is your customer
Muddy readers are AB parents. 76% have school-aged children. They're eager to find the best schools with the right academic results, sports facilities and pastoral care.
3. Local with a national reach
Our reviews work brilliantly on a local level, going out to regional subscribers and readers on site and on social. In addition, ALL current school reviews across the 19 Muddy counties are accessible on our National School Reviews site meaning your review can be viewed by 200,000+ Muddy subscribers, including Londoners who are using Muddy to access where to go and what to do away from the city.
4. We wear two hats
At Muddy Stilettos, we review as respected national journalists with an eye for detail but also, crucially, as parents ourselves.
5. Our features are FUN
No-one wants to yawn through a school review! Our reviews are chatty, informal, good-humoured and knowledgeable. Yes, we’re interested in exam results, facilities and sweeping driveways, but we also work hard to explain the ‘essence’ of a school and give our readers an honest steer based on what they’re looking for what might suit a competitive, alpha- student might not be right for the quiet, contemplative child.

Other schools have for over thirty years
We have been developing Oasis for over thirty years but we are driven by just one aim: to supply independent schools with the best possible accounts system. This single-minded focus means that Oasis is fine-tuned to the needs of prep school bursars across Britain.
What does this mean for you? Well, for instance, Oasis can synchronise your accounts with your current admin. systems. That means data is entered just once and your teachers still work with the software they are familiar with.
Because Oasis has been designed for schools from the outset, it works whether you have five pupils or five thousand. It uses all the latest web and email technology. And whatever size your school is, you will find Oasis is very cost effective.
Oasis has a support system second to none. We provide an individual, personal service that larger companies are not always able to match. We have a vibrant user group - their feedback plays a significant part in Oasis’ development and that’s a big reason why Oasis continues to match the changing needs of bursars.
We’d love to show you how Oasis could work for your school.

This October, to coincide with World Food Day as well as Eradication of Poverty Day and Children’s Book Week, we are asking schools to take part in Send a Cow’s Read to Feed scheme. Read to Feed is a sponsored reading scheme that aims to foster a love of reading in children, as well as inspire them to help African families get out of poverty for good.
Your school can give a future to hungry children in Africa while learning about the lives and cultures of others, as well as engaging in practical action for change. The money raised goes directly helping to feed children in Africa, through the passing on of gifts such as cow, goats, trees, beehives and training in natural farming methods.
Send a Cow Education helps teachers and educators bring the real world into their classroom, to strengthen their curriculum and to embed global learning through all subjects. This means education for a just and sustainable world, giving young lives and enquiring minds the empowerment that comes with global perspective and understanding.
Our award winning Lessons from Africa website has a primary focus on increasing pupils’ knowledge and understanding of development and global issues through subject-based learning. Hundreds of FREE high quality lesson resources, games, activities and videos are available to support the National Curriculum, across all subjects for Key Stages 1-4. Incorporating global learning into your teaching can help improve pupils’ attainment levels through increased engagement, as well as developing their knowledge and understanding of diversity, social justice, conflict resolution, global citizenship, human rights, interdependence, and sustainable development.
Global learning also has a positive impact on the wider school-community, cultivating social and moral responsibility, increasing community cohesion, developing political literacy and improving environmental sustainability. Thus, as children have greater understanding of global learning they are more likely to feel empowered, develop a sense of their own inherent values, and practice newly found skills in their communities.
At Send a Cow, we have many different and exciting ways for pupils to exercise agency in their wider communities and act upon what they have learnt in the classroom. To visit our lesson resources please go to www.sendacow.org.uk/lessonsfromafrica

We understand that when parents place an order - they want it now! That’s why we commit to stocking your uniform year round and offer next day despatch on all stock items. For many schools, we manage the ‘on campus’ school shop on their behalf and can also supply wholesale to schools managing their own shop.

Trybooking is an online booking system designed for any type of school event. It takes all the heavy lifting and admin time away from organising Parent Teacher Meetings, to Open Days, School concerts and performances, to trips and courses.
Parents love it too, as no more forms to fill in and cheques to organise. They can organise all school events from the comfort of their office or home any time of the day.
Not only does it take bookings but it automatically gives the school all the information they need for the event be it a Door List or a report of dietary requirements, or all the details in a registration form for courses.
We loved it so much as parents in Australia, we brought the business to the UK. Don't take our word for it though: as one of Head of Music beautiful summarised: "We are busily pulling together a programme for the concert, while the tickets sell quietly in the background".

Vocab Express is an engaging web-based vocabulary learning application for schools, designed to motivate students aged 8-18 into independent vocabulary learning for foreign languages. The application is being used successfully in a growing number of Prep Schools across the country.
Teacher workload is minimised through pre-loaded, pre-categorised multi-lingual vocabulary from major exam boards and leading publishers of classroom text books. It can be used for homework, in-class activities or cover lessons with no preparation or marking overhead.
Students are motivated through an innovative points and scoreboard system to compete against their peers, and can see their progress at a glance. Each has their own individual login, enabling them to access Vocab Express wherever they are. App versions for iOS and Android devices are available for subscribers to download. All activity can be monitored by the teacher through a comprehensive set of real-time progress tracking tools.
The Assignments feature, which was nominated for the Innovation in ICT prize at the 2014 BETT awards, is a key component of the application. It allows specific vocabulary exercises to be set as homework, with student progress and attainment tracked by the teacher. Previously, vocabulary learning was not a ‘settable’ homework: whilst a teacher might set a list of words to be independently learnt as homework and test the students on their return to class, there was no means of tracking to what extent each student had actually tried to learn the vocabulary or how long they had spent on it. Enter Vocab Express!
Vocab Express currently offers resources for French, German, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin, Urdu, Arabic, Latin, Hebrew, Russian, Japanese and Portuguese. This includes the Common Entrance specifications for French, Spanish, Latin and Greek.
